AroundThen will be showcasing an enhancement to their auto check-in feature at Event Tech Live, to automatically print badges wirelessly on delegate arrival, reducing queues and increasing registration efficiencies.

In addition, the same technology can be used to for lead capture, removing the need for barcode scanners at entry points and on individual exhibition stands, freeing up staff to be deployed elsewhere at an event.

Once a delegate is within proximity of a Beacon, they are automatically checked-in, receive a personalised welcome message and their delegate badge is printed. Branded content is also sent directly to their device, either as a static page or a URL.

Beacons positioned at other points within the event location can be pre-programmed to send content to a user’s device. For example, as an attendee leaves an exhibition stand, exhibitor content can immediately be pushed to the delegate’s device, or sent instantly as an auto-generated email.

For the organiser or exhibitor, they can choose to receive real-time email notifications containing the delegate’s details for lead capture and follow up. Real-time and historical reporting of delegate profiles and footfall is available via the web-based Proximity Portal.

The Proximity Portal can also be used to send instant broadcast messages to all or selected delegates, driving interaction and providing an additional communications channel.

AroundThen will be demonstrating this new functionality at EventTechLive in London on November 11th, both on their stand #18 and as part of the EventTech Showcase at 11am.

Commenting on the latest developments, Ken Mawbey, Founder and CEO said: “We’re always listening to feedback from our customers and adding this additional functionality is another huge step forward in terms of what AroundThen can offer to both event organisers as well as delegates. We’re excited to be launching this at EventTechLive and look forward to demonstrating it.”
