Microsoft has selected AroundThen as one of their Microsoft’s BizSpark competition winners to showcase their technology at the prestigious TechCrunch Disrupt 2015 event on December 7th and 8th in London. AroundThen were one of just six winners selected from Microsoft’s 13 BizSpark incubators.
Taking their place in the ‘Start Up Alley’, AroundThen will be exhibiting their Bluetooth Beacon enabled technology, which streamlines event management, delivering personalised notifications with location specific branded content, as well as auto check-in and name badge printing, lead capture and delegate tracking. AroundThen also uses Bluetooth between mobiles and tablets to allow nearby users to view each others profiles, exchange messages and connect on LinkedIn and Enterprise Social networks, including Microsoft Yammer.
TechCrunch Disrupt provides early-stage companies a platform to demonstrate their talent and technology to attendees, investors and members of the press, as well as being the world’s leading authority in debuting revolutionary startups, introducing game-changing technologies, and discussing what’s top of mind for the tech industry’s key innovators.
Commenting on the Microsoft award, Ken Mawbey, CEO said; “We’re delighted to have been recognised by Microsoft as leading tech innovators, and TechCrunch Disrupt provides us with the ideal opportunity to showcase our Beacon-based proximity functionality to a tech-savvy audience.”
John Gorman, Microsoft Ventures, CTO added “AroundThen is an innovative idea that takes networking and collaboration to the next level.”
